However... it does mean that the page-boys and foot-men are a lot more productive... strange, the difference in attitudes they have when Aramis is away and they can't run to him... and, of course, I can receive lady callers without the old queen asking my intentions, and gentleman callers without his ... interest ... being sparked. And, of course, my Style bank's running low (or almost empty: 1 out of a possible 8)...

Wager (1) The letter is written on an ancient palimpsest...

I'm tapped out but I may use a Style point once the wagers are passed...

My thoughts are on the communication: but what could it be? How could it be used? Who is is to?
And most importantly - Why does he have it? How is it connected to the assasination? Was he in on it or trying to prevent it, or just caught in the middle?

I'll be on chat if anyone wants to grab me in the next wee while :)

Wager 2: The blood stains on the parchment belongs to the vassals of Aramis' former Master.

... which reactivated the old sorceries...

That's me out of Wagers, may still through style at it, as, after last session, I've regained to 5 Style... (and have a definite idea).

Final Wager: Sorceries which affect those who read the invitation...

Those last two wagers were awesome - have a Style Point each :D

To recap so far:

  • Aramis did write this letter while under the influence of a potent poison.
  • He has arrived at the senate just in time to find himself trapped in the Capital but has a means to communicate back to Tir Torigh.
  • The letter is written on an ancient palimpsest. The blood stains on the parchment belongs to the vassals of Aramis' former Master, which reactivated the old sorceries - Sorceries which affect those who read the invitation...

Now, any other facts to add at this from *anyone* in LS with Style are open now. Aramis has style points of his own to use (haveing accepted two facts about himself and having one banked), which I'm reserving the right to use... (I have to have one or two NPC's for myself after all ;) )

Style: Ingesting the Poison was necessary to cast the ritual...

Style: the blood was spilled by a third party.

Got one more to throw in, but I'll give people a day or two before I barrel in with a second Style (assuming I have any after Autumn begins tomorrow).
