The wire bites into the hands of Kyenin Steele and a sharp hiss is heard among the shadows as it slices his soft flesh as both men struggle for control of the situation. Kyenin reluctantly lets go as he curses Tyv Adrente under his breath for causing him pain as well.

"It appears we both have learned something today then. Remember though that all your actions have consequences Tyv Adrente and that you have been taken to task by someone who has shown you that bravado means naught in our world. You can shout all you wish, but in the end you are alive only because Calaban Ru and his Spymaster wish you to be. In the end you are nothing more than a tool yourself."

Satisfied with that last barb and the pain he has inflicted Kyenin fades into the shadows to leave Tyv to his thoughts. He circles the back passages of the palatial estate stopping to bandage his hands, again silently cursing the audacity of his fellow Ven. "My vow to Aban Steele has been fulfilled," he whispers to the darkness, "but Tyv Adrente has only begun to suffer for what he has done to ME!"

Another time and place though will be better as Revenge is sweet when the person is fully destroyed in the end. A quiet chuckle in the ebbing darkness is all that remains of Kyenin as he slinks away to serve his Master as he has always done.

Tea would have to wait. Oh well.

Iratu looked to Calaban Ru, and spoke for the first time since this exchange happened. His words were respectful, always respectful.

"Marquis, unless you have further matters to discuss, shall I take Baron Adrente to his room as he requested?"

Calaban noded, "Yes, Iratu. Take him now."

He led Tyv Adrente through the simplistic halls of the castle. Unlike the webbed machinations of its owner, the castle itself was very straightforward. It was almost impossible to get lost, or to lose a person you were watching. He walked slowly and deliberately, he made no sudden movements. He treated Tyv like a wounded animal, for a man like Tyv would lash out over an injured pride. Iratu was bold, but he was not stupid. While Tyv had said he would hurt neither ven nor veth, he had already sold his honor once and would probably do so again. The Wolf's word held no merit with him. Tyv had a purpose to serve though and as Calaban moved his pieces across the board, Iratu would not interfere with the grand plan. He would help move it along. Iratu stopped at the door and turned to face Tyv. Turned slowly.

"Vente, Vente, This will be your room Baron Adrente." he said, using the respectful way to begin any sentence.

"And you do realize that Calaban Ru will try to have you killed?"

He opened the door for the Baron.

Tyv looks at Iratu and grins painfully. "I do... What I do not, Iratu, is when or how. I imagine you bring this up because you have more to say on the matter. Go on..." As he speaks, he holds his hand up for a moment while he walks inside the room and writes down on a piece of parchment: 'Lie with your voice. Write down the Truth.'

Iratu looked at the paper quizzically. "My words shall carry the truth, I haven't need to write anything down for reference's sake."

"When? No one can say, as to how, obviously Aban will be his tool of choice. Ever since his dream he has become more paranoid and as you saw with tonight, more bloodthirsty. What you must ponder, Tyv Adrente, is that he has given you protection in all his lands. He has taken the sword out from Aban's hand to claim his rights against you for the...incident with his wife. Now you face the poisoned cup or the blade in the back. There will be no glorious duel for you Tyv Adrente. There will be no swordsplay with your rival and equal. Calaban Ru has set it up so that if you die, you shall die the cowards death. It is the underlying disrespect that should concern you most."

Iratu glanced from side to side, careful to make sure that only the correct people were listening.

"Be careful Tyv Adrente, Calaban Ru is into more than just sorcery. As to what, I cannot say."

Tyv looks concerned at what Iratu is suggesting. A final duel with Aban is something he was wishing to face. It had become clear when Jonan Drax whispered the words to him... 'Thou Shalt Not Kill, Tyv Sajajin Adrente.'
Tyv had known that the next duel with Aban Steele would be to the Death and that he would fulfill his promise to Jonan Drax in reparation for the mistake he had made in killing Anibella.

Focusing on what he can control, Tyv shruggs away the notion of being stabbed in the back or killed quietly in his sleep.
Quietly now, Tyv asks, "Do you... have proof of his Sorcerous endeavors? I know things I cannot share with you, for your own safety, but proof is what the Senate's Rajan demand before taking action..."

Iratu shook his head. "I only hear the chants at night. The words I cannot understand but its obvious he's intoning something."

Iratu got up and headed out the door, "The conversation has gone on far too long in this castle. You now fight a war on two fronts with two allies. You had better find some people to support you Tyv. Find Wisdom in my words."

Iratu left Tyv alone to his thoughts.
