Revenge & Duels: level playing field?

Postby Nevermet » Sat Oct 11, 2008 1:52 pm

Hi

Am I correct in my reading that if a jury agrees there has been an injury, there are only two possible verdicts: wear black, or have a duel? So, no matter how grevious the injury, if there is a duel its a fair fight? I know I'm imposing non-Ven ideas on their rituals, but I just wanted to make sure. I could see nasty verdicts involving one hand being tied behind your back, dull swords, blindfolds, etc.

Thanks

For duels, the details are worked out by the seconds. If your second lets you get roped into a duel with a hand tied behind your back, then you need to pick a new second.

Once again, what I see as a loophole, the Ven probably see a place for political manipulation.

Thanks. I knew I was missing something simple. Their law hurts my brain more than their culture does. The followers of Drax must be very strange people. Strange in a bad way.
