Ven Nursery Rhyme

Postby Paint Scribe » Tue Oct 20, 2009 6:19 pm

In my research on the Ralyrinaga tales, I discovered several fragments of what was once a book of nursery rhymes and bedtime stories. The only complete piece is the following song:

Hidden by veils
Hidden by three
Forgotten by time
I am watching
Listen carefully
Lest I lure your death
And solace never embrace you.

In the third of six
Found in the wheel
Waiting for you
To come and dance with me
Come to me
Come to your grave
And solace never embrace you.

A wing's flightless fall
A toothless howl
A ravaged and shattered tail
A mindless scale
A dull horn
An aged and broken claw
Come to meet death
And solace never embrace you.

I contacted Sir Reginald Parkson with the South American Young Ven Studies League and it turns out that this is the only complete copy of the words, and he had a copy of the music itself! He was missing several vital lyrics due to a mildew damage on his copy, so we put it together. I included the song in the most recent podcast release:

That was awesome thanks! I listened to them all, and was pretty moved by the 5th podcast. I really liked the cyclical nature of it! Keep up the great work!
